Gerald J. “Jerry” Coenen, 75, Greenleaf, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at a local hospital. He was born November 26, 1938 in Little Chute, WI, son of the late Alphonse and Marcella (Heitpas) Coenen. Jerry graduated from Little Chute High School and attended Seminary in Milwaukee. He married Shirley Vande Hey on November 27, 1963 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Jerry was passionate in the Wrightstown Lions Club, where he was past District Governor for the State of Wisconsin. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley; his children: Paul (Renee Villers) Coenen, Jana (Randy) Geurts, Joe (Lisa Mancoske) Coenen, Alicia (Tim) Ehlke, Kara (Peter) Wills, and Deanna (Chris) Mancoske; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Mary Weyenberg; sister-in-law, Alice Coenen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Pat Vande Hey. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin; brother-in-law, Bob Weyenberg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard and Johanna Vande Hey. Family and friends may call Monday, September 1, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, Wrightstown. A prayer service will conclude the visitation. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Charlie Brooks and Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken concelebrating.
