Howard George Pagel, 82, De Pere, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at his home with his family by his side. He was born February 2, 1930 in Milwaukee, son of the late Arthur and Henrietta (Janssen) Pagel. Howard married Nancy Drewek, July 11, 1949 in Milwaukee. He retired from Advanced Transportation in Milwaukee after many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and helping his sons-in-law with various projects. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy; two daughters: Christine (David) Grossmann, and Laurie (Jim) Welter; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother and sister, Kenneth (Jean) Pagel, and Carol Zweig; brother-in-law, Richard Schultz; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a brother, Donald (Jewel) Pagel; two sisters, Ruth Schultz, and Jeannie (Joe) Gaspar; and brother-in-law, Warren Zweig. Family and friends may call Saturday, June 30, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere.
