Mrs. Jesse R. (June) King, age 97, a lifelong resident of Green Bay and Allouez, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. She was born June 1, 1916 to the late William and Eva (Aboud) Jaber in Green Bay. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and East High School. On November 28, 1936, she married Jesse King at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay, and he preceded her in death. June was very active with St. Matthew School, the Altar Society and Girl Scouts, as well as being a charter member of Resurrection Church. She is survived by her loving family: Marnie King of Lake Worth, FL; son-in-law, John “Jack” Kennedy of Green Bay; grandchildren: John Kennedy of Neenah, Pat (Lisa) Kennedy of Appleton, and Robert King of Green Bay; son-in-law: Michael King of Plano, TX and children: Alan (Kimberly) of Wylie, TX and Kristin (Jim) McLaughlin; great-grandchildren: Grant, Zachary, Marcus and Rebecca McLaughlin, Jesse King, Gavin and Abby Kennedy and a niece, Kathy Austin of Overland Park, KS. In addition to her husband and parents, June was preceded in death by two daughters: Christine King and Phyllis Kennedy; three brothers: George, Alfred and Bernard Jaber; two sisters: Mary and Louise Jaber. Per June’s request, no services will be held. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
