Abbie J (Kaull) Yopek

Abbie J. (Kaull) Yopek, 70, Denmark, formerly of Newport, Rhode Island passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born May 11, 1939 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Theodore and Jean (Luke) Kaull. She graduated from Rogers High School in Newport and then married Elmer “Al” R. Yopek on Dec. 7, 1957. Abbie loved her gardening, spending time with family and friends, going dancing with Al, and heading up North to Eagle River to the cottage. Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Al; children: Mike “Bear” Yopek, Maribel and special friend, Sue; Todd Yopek; Robin (Rick) O’Neil, Green Bay; and Shelly (Doug) Christman, Tisch Mills; grandchildren: Tony King, Schyler Yopek, and Michelle Christman; sister, Audrey (Jack) Shea; sisters-in-law: Judy Konop, Carol Diring and Nubs, and Lynn (Wayne) Strebel; and many other relatives and friends. Abbie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Kaull; parents-in-law, Dan and Helen Yopek; and brother-in-law, Dave Yopek. Family and friends may call Friday, April 16, 2010 at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R, Denmark from 3p.m. to 7p.m. concluding with a sharing of memories.
