Adele Amelia (Falk) Phillips

Adele Amelia (Falk) Phillips passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI. She was born on January 22, 1934 to Harold Falk and Edythe (Black) Falk. Adele grew up in Green Bay and graduated from Green Bay West High School and St. Agnes School of Nursing where she earned a nursing degree. She worked at Bellin Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital and was so devoted to her patients that she returned as a volunteer at the hospital for several years after her retirement. Adele married the love of her life, Robert H. “Bob” Phillips, on September 1, 1956 in Green Bay, WI and they enjoyed 61 years of wedded bliss. Bob and Adele traveled frequently and enjoyed many trips to Europe but they especially loved seeing family and friends in Munich, Germany. They traveled several times a year to the East Coast to visit their children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Adele was a member of the St. Frances Xavier choir and was an avid Packer fan. Adele was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ernie Falk, Harold Falk and Raymond Falk. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob Phillips of De Pere, WI, son Kevin (Lynn) Phillips of NC, son Keith (Lisa) Phillips of VA, son Kent Phillips of WI, sister Carolyn Arcand of WI, brother William Falk of WI, brother Allen (Maureen) Falk of WI and grandchildren Brenda Owens of NC, Jennifer (Bradley) Wheeler of NC, Robert C. Phillips of VA, Savannah Phillips of VA and Ryan Phillips of VA, great granddaughter and namesake, Della Wheeler of NC, sister-in-law Ruth Falk and sister-in-law Priscilla Falk, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, friends and former co-workers. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, on Friday, March 2, from 5-7pm. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning, at the church, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Binu Varghese, O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Howard Memorial Park. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family wishes to express their gratitude to both the De Pere and Green Bay Rescue Squads as well as Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI for their support to Adele and her family in her final days. Adele was loved by her family, friends and all who knew her and she will be sorely missed.
