Amey Rachel Delugeau

Amey R. Delugeau, 57, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 unexpectedly but peacefully at her home. She was born in Green Bay, WI to Caleb and Susan Chapel on December 29, 1967. Amey attended Notre Dame Elementary school, St. Joseph’s Academy high school and graduated from Lawrence University with a BA, in fine arts (BAF). She married Dominique Delugeau in 1995 in Green Bay. Amey held various roles as an art teacher and later substitute teacher during her life. 

Amey was deeply loyal to her friends and family and to know Amey was a privilege. Much like her father, her quick wit was something she was known for and to be in her company was always a delight. Amey loved her two sons, Jeannot and Henri, immensely and was proud of their accomplishments and never stopped supporting their passions. She also had a deep love for animals and nature. Her pet cat, dog, and hamsters were an important part of her life. One of her greatest joys was tending to her garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing her plants to create a beautiful outdoor space. When indoors, Amey loved jamming out to music, reading, and playing cards. Amey was a talented artist and created beautiful works of art in various mediums, most notably oil and acrylic paint, pastel, and aquatint. Beyond creating art, she also enjoyed visiting various art galleries and museums with her two sons. 

Amey is survived by her mother, Susan Chapel Conlon, brother, Adam Chapel, sister, Heather Wright, and her two sons, Jeannot and Henri Delugeau, nephew, Liam Navarre, and niece, Lilly Navarre, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death is her father, Caleb Chapel.

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, WI beginning at 1:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at 3:00 pm, officiated by Father Mike Brennan, O.Praem.
