Betty Mae Vandenlangenberg

November 24, 1930 — August 16, 2022

It has pleased the Almighty to call home his faithful servant Betty Mae (Klug) VandenLangenberg. Born November 24, 1930 and adopted by the loving family of Arthur and Truda Klug. On April 28, 1951, she married the love of her life Lloyd VandenLangenberg, he preceded her in death in 1988. Betty was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in De Pere. She enjoyed playing in the kitchen band and was active in the ladies of Hope. Betty retired from the McCormick Home and with her care and devotion, she later volunteered there.

Betty is survived by her son Joe (Jean) VandenLangenberg; daughter LouAnn (Tom) VanLaanen; grandchildren Josh (Kris) VandenLangenberg, Kristin (Paul) Hilbert, Katie (Augie) Hoffmann, Amanda (Keith) Waldo, Erin (Luke) Cravillion, and April Hayes; brother-in-law Raphael and Ron VandenLangenberg; sister-in-law Barb VandenLangenberg; great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; children Greg and Cynthia, parents; brothers Wilmer (Lillian) Klug, Marvin (Elnora) Klug, Harvey (Delores) Klug; sisters-in-law Eloise (Bill) VanderKelen, Rosella (Ray) Lamal, Lorraine (Orland) Nick, Ida VandenLangenberg, Bernice (Arnie) Rentmeester, Jeanne VandenLangenberg; brothers-in-law Harvey (Pearl), Marvin (Lorraine), Howard (Jan), and Kenny VandenLangenberg.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to the staff of Oak Park Place, Promedica Hospice, and especially her nurse Lacey, for the exceptional care, compassion, and concern shown to Betty.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Betty’s name to Hope Lutheran Church – De Pere.

Visitation will be from 9am until 10:45am Monday August 22, 2022, at Hope Lutheran Church (700 S. Superior St. De Pere) with a service to follow at 11am with Pastor Matt Baye. A private burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
