Bob Vissers, 51, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in The Villages, Fl. Born January 13,1960, Bob grew up in De Pere, graduating from De Pere High School, NWTC and FVTC. Bob was a gifted handyman and mechanic. He was also an enthusiastic gardener, animal lover and Packer Fan. Per Bob's wishes, other lives have been enhanced via his organ donation. Bob is survived by his beloved girls, Katie and Sarah; his parents, Don and Ann; his sister Mary, and her children, Bob and Brenda; and his dog, Bruno. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30th, at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John H. Harper - a friend of Bob's - officiating. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. Bob fought a lifelong battle against addiction. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Donations will benefit both St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter and St. Mary Feed the Hungry campaign.
