Brad J. “B-Rad” DeCleene, age 44, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born March 1, 1981, to Joseph and Patricia (Van Rossum) DeCleene in Green Bay, Brad grew up on his family farm in Greenleaf, WI. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and Wrightstown High School. Brad joined the Greenleaf Volunteer Fire Department and served the community he loved for 26 years, 16 years as captain 905.
After high school, Brad worked six years for Miller Masonry, then became co-owner of Schelfhout DeCleene Masonry with his aunt, uncle and cousin. Brad loved spending time with his children, family and friends. If you saw Brad out he was typically with one or more of his brothers playing volleyball, golfing, bowling, hunting, playing Sheepshead and drinking Old Fashions.
Brad is survived by his significant other, Katie Prochnow, his children; Thatcher (Aubrey Daul) and Addison, his parents, Joseph and Patricia DeCleene, brothers; Mark (Laurie), Russ, Cory (Samantha) Shawn (Barbie) and Matt (Holly). He is further survived by his nieces and nephews; Marissa (Josh Counard), Austin (Lexy Billie), Ashlyn (John) Prose, Mason, Kaylynn Maddix, Courtney (Preston Pool), God daughter, Taylor (Kyle Cichanofsky), Breanna (CJ, Payton and Myles), Amber Nettekoven, Sabrina (Joey) Baum, Madelyn and Bennett and God daughter Josslyn Smits.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Katie’s parents, Paul and Bonnie Prochnow, the Unity Hospice team, especially Tonya whose care and compassion went above and beyond. Also send a thank you to the numerous families, friends and community who supported the family throughout this difficult time.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Cotter Family Gathering Center, 518 Meadow Lane, Wrightstown from 3:00pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Gathering Center from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Private inurnment will take place following the service at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, Brad asked that donations go to the John Feldkamp Memorial Bowling Tournament to assist other families fighting cancer. Check to be made payable to Mally’s Spare Time.
Brad loved his community and the community loved him. He will be missed by all and forever in our hearts.
