Clyde “Blackie” “Doc” Rosin, age 73, of De Pere, passed away November 30, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. The son of the late Oscar Rosin and Betty (Schubring) was born April 24, 1948 in Green Bay. He graduated from Wrightstown High School and married Kristine A. Boogaard on February 10, 1968. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country honorably from 1968-1970, including a tour in Vietnam. Clyde started his career as a milkman for White Clover Dairy in Holland Town and retired from Greiner Trucking in Freedom. He was a member of the VVA 224 and VFW 7692 and spoke at a lot of colleges and local schools about the reality of Vietnam.
He is survived by his children: Kurt (Courtney) Rosin of New Franken and Carrie Rosin (Joe Parrish) of Wrightstown; grandchildren: Morghan (Daniel Hitchcock) Rosin, Hunter and Keegan Rosin; mother Betty Rosin; siblings: Dave (Kathy) Rosin, Linda (Mark) Schnell, Dale (Pat) Rosin; mother-in-law Carolyn Mill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Chris Baker.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Kristine and his father Oscar; father-in-law: Robert Mill; sister-in-law Ann (Dennis) Mosgaller; mother-in-law Kristine Springate.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Saturday, December 4, from 11:00am until 3:00pm. A service will be held at 3:00pm. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family will collect donations that will be contributed to a veteran’s cause.
