David B. Volkema

David B. Volkema, age 73 of Maribel, passed away on Friday, Nov 1, 2024, with his family by his side at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay, WI. He was born on November 16, 1950, son to late Florence and Edward Volkema. He married Lorraine Dufek on February 13, 1971. David enjoyed spending time with his grand kids and his many pets. Most of all he enjoyed bird and deer watching and going on long car rides.

David is survived by his wife Lorriane; children Edward and David P. (Susan); sister Diane (William) Bashaw; brother Richard (Lil); son-in-law Duane Wery; grandchildren Sean (Kaycee), Tony (Jackie), Matthew, Angel (Jay), Jackie, Jasmine, Harley, Lilly, Dixie, Sawyer, Daisy; two great grandchildren, Breylynn and Kendahl.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Richard and Betty Dufek; daughter Tammy Volkema Wery; brother James; great grandson Braxten Volkema; brother-in-law Richard Dufek; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bernadine and David Robinson and nephew Davie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kaylnn and Donald Robinson.

Friends and family may gather on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Cotter Funerial Home on 536 County Road R, Denmark, WI with a service at 7:00 pm.

 Private burial will follow Friday at West Danish Cemetery.
