David W. Krutz

David W. (Dave) Krutz, 87, Greenleaf, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The son of the late Leo A. and Elsie (Hanson) Krutz was born on August 17, 1937 in Green Bay. Dave attended Denmark High School and served his country in the Army Reserves. On December 4, 1971 he married the love of his life, Yvonne Marie Perret in Sugarbush. Together they raised two sons, David and Michael Krutz.

Dave was President and owner of Greenleaf-Wayside Bank for over 55 years. He served the community on numerous boards, including the Independent Community Bankers of Wisconsin and Wayside Telephone Company. He was a longtime member of Greenleaf’s St Paul’s Lutheran Church, now Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shirley. Dave enjoyed cheering on his favorite local sports teams and being a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers since 1959 and UWGB Phoenix since 1985. He played fast-pitch softball for many years before becoming a regular in golf and bowling leagues, which were often followed by boisterous games of euchre with friends. He loved to golf, go to lunch with the boys, attend his grandchildren’s activities, and spend time with family and friends. Dave’s kindness and generosity touched many lives and will live on through his family.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; two sons and their families, David (Annette) Krutz and their children, Addison, Caden, Cameron; Michael (Jackie) Krutz and their children Sebastian, Malia, Olivia; sister Marilyn Dobberpuhl; brother-in-law & sister-in-law David & Kathy Perret; sister-in-law Mary Krutz; sister-in-law Muriel Perret; brother-in-law Dennis Feldt; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother William (Bill) Krutz; brother-in law Fritz Dobberpuhl; sister-in-law Kitty Feldt.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Family Gathering Center, 518 Meadow Lane, Wrightstown, on Monday, March 24 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, March 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3735 Shirley Road, De Pere (Shirley) from 9:00am to 10:30am. Funeral service at the church at 11:00am with Pastor Dave Ruddat officiating. Interment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers or monetary donations, please share a cherished memory about Dave with his family.
