Donald W. Mallow, 76, Allouez, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Woodside Lutheran Home. He was born August 23, 1934, in Watertown, WI, son of the late Bernard and Frieda (Ihde) Mallow. Don served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He graduated from Spencerian College in 1958. Don married Kathleen McKindles in 1984 and worked as a Federal Agent for the IRS for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He had a passion for singing, playing the harmonica, and strumming the ukulele. In addition, painting, shopping, cooking, the Packers and spending time with family all brought him much joy. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathleen, five children: Jane (Steven) Boettcher, Mequon, Donald (Rebecca) Mallow, Menomonee Falls, Sherri Bitters, Green Bay, Julie (David) Slick, Green Bay, Kelly (Mark) Bitters-Kubichek, De Pere, and thirteen grandchildren: Cassandra, Makenzie and Cole Boettcher, Ethan and Benjamin Mallow, Jessica, Samantha, and Madeline Forrest, Matthew, Rebecca and Andrew Slick, Keely and Camren Bitters. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., luncheon to follow. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
