Dorothy "Dottie" Neerdaels

Dorothy J. (Dottie) Neerdaels, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Woodside Senior Communities in Green Bay. On April 26, 1931 she was born in Sagola Twp. Michigan to Paul and Ruth Sitka. She graduated from Channing High School and attended Illinois College in Springfield, IL. Dorothy married Donald G. Neerdaels on June 27, 1953 and he preceded her in death. After being a homemaker and mother to their four children, she went to work for HC Prange Co, followed by Paper Converting Machinery Co until the time of her retirement. Dorothy and Donald enjoyed travel, were avid sports fans, participated in the Green Bay Curling Club and were active members of Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Michelle (Kenneth) Meier, Debra (William) Davis, both of Madison, Cari (John) Oswald of Shrewsbury, PA and a son Randall Neerdaels of Twin Falls, ID; sister Marjorie Schmutzler and a brother Robert (Beverly) Sitka; brothers-in-law: Edward Krummel and Kenneth (Roberta) Neerdaels, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dottie loved being “Grandma Dot” to her 7 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald G. Neerdaels, sister, Lois and brother-in-law Sam Kirchenwitz and sister-in-law Joyce Krummel. A celebration of Dorothy’s life is scheduled for September 18, 2017 at the Woodside Lutheran Home Chapel, 1040 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay, at 12:30pm with Pastor Julie Wrubbel-Lange and Pastor Steve Apfel officiating.
