Edith E. Aerts, 83, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at her home. She was born December 2, 1927, in Little Suamico, daughter to the late Valentine and Rose (Spener) Plouff. She graduated from West De Pere High School in 1944. Edith married Reuben Aerts on August 20, 1949, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, De Pere. She was a beautician, and she enjoyed bowling and golfing. Edith was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. She will deeply missed by her husband of 61 years, Reuben; eight children: Ron Aerts, Deb (Mark) Demerath, Randy (Sheila) Aerts, Pam (Mike Gerke) Aerts, Beth Harrison, Rick Aerts, Cathy (Steve) Wendt, Robert (Shanan) Aerts; grandchildren: Devin, Staci, Drew, Emily, Ben, Karen, Kayla, Apail, Curtis, Allison, Bobby, Jr., Riley, Reese, McKenna, MaKenzie; great-grandchildren: Jade, Blaze, and Maddox; brothers: Vernon, David, and Donald (Birdie) Plouff; sisters: Kay Unreth, Pat (John) Collen, Rosemary (Tom) Quevillion; sister-in-law, Mary Plouff; brother-in-law, Dick Kellerman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Rose Plouff; three brothers: Little Valentine, Victor, and Bernard Plouff; three sisters: Francis (Robert) Stammer, Caroline (Frank) Simoens, and Thelma Kellerman; brother-in-law, Weber Unrath Friends may call Monday, December 27, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 4:00 p.m. Monday at church, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Edith’s name.
