Elizabeth Jean “Beth” Schultze, 29, born July 30, 1982, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2011 from a brain hemorrhage. Formerly of Abrams, WI, Beth was living in California where she surfed, studied to be an electrician, and practiced medieval swordsmanship. Her kind hearted nature and exuberant spirit inspired the people around her, and her determination to be and do what she wanted was unmatched. Beth offered the most sincere form of friendship. Phrases like best friend, best cousin, best sister and best daughter were common in reference to her. She had passions for music, astronomy, alternative power, and animals, especially for her cat, Andie, who liked only her. Always trying to learn new things, Beth was in the process of teaching herself how to knit, code with JavaScript, and tool leather. Her desire to work at a job that required hard physical labor was a trait of her father, Jim Schultze, who was very proud of her. Beth married Luke Kilpatrick on August 28, 2004, but separated in May of 2011. Surviving are her mother, Nancy Escamilla; her brother, Robert Schultze; her many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as countless friends in Wisconsin, California and Illinois. She is preceded in death by her father, James Schultze; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Gladys Escamilla; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Lucielle Schultze. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 7:00 pm. Online condolences may be expressed to Beth’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
