Fern O. Farah, 91 Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31 with her family by her side. She was born on April 3, 1925, the youngest of three children of Gordon and Catherine (McAllister) Osmond. Fern grew up in Green Bay where she graduated from East Green Bay High School. She married George E. Farah on October 23, 1943. In the early years of marriage, she was a bookkeeper for the Farah Family Grocery Stores. Later she and George volunteered many years at St. Vincent DePaul, giving back to the community. Above all things, Fern loved her husband and twelve children. Family was #1. For many years, Mom would take the kids to spend the summers at Sand Bay near Sturgeon Bay. She also enjoyed when family would visit in their New Smyrna Beach, FL home. She was an avid Packers fan that wore her favorite Packers jersey each gameday. A typical Sunday afternoon was having family lunch and playing a card game. Fern was a spectacular knitter, could crochet anything, and tackle crossword puzzles with ease.
