Francis “Frank” D. Muehlbauer, 78, of De Pere passed away peacefully on October 9, 2016. The son of the late Frank and Pearl (Verheyen) Muehlbauer was born January 2, 1938 in Green Bay. Frank was a Military Veteran and retired Postal Clerk from the Green Bay Office. Frank enjoyed traveling, spending time up north, bird watching, deer hunting and taking walks. He also liked reading and completing crossword puzzles. Mostly Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Frank was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ledgeview and frequently volunteered at the church. Frank is survived by his sister Sr. Janet Muehlbauer, CSJ; niece Clara (Steve) Kolf; cousin Sue (Bob) Schmitt and family, several other cousins and best friend Clayton Bildings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Maureen (Eugene) Perrault and nephew John Francis Perrault. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St, De Pere, on November 12, 2016 from 9:00am until 10:45am. The Mass of Christian Burial for Frank will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the 4th wing staff at Rennes Health and Rehab Center with a special thanks to Therapists Alex and Aaron for all their help in trying to get Frank back home and the nurses on the 6th floor ICU at St. Vincent Hospital for their care and compassion.
