Frank L. Wiltman

May 9, 1939 — September 2, 2024

Denmark

Frank L. Wiltman Jr, age 85, went home peacefully after dealing with cancer for three plus years. He was born on May 9, 1939, in Kewaunee, WI, son of the late Frank Sr and Rose (Wacek) Wiltman.

Frank graduated from Mishicot High School in 1957. Our dad lived a very interesting life and did things his own way. He drove bus for the Denmark School District for over 50 years and met many wonderful families that he was invited to the student’s graduations and weddings. Frank was also a farmer on the family farm until about 1970 and had his own gravel excavating business. Our dad loved to Polka, was a very good dancer and knew how to do the hop. He loved the Mark Jirikovec Band & Combo and went on at least one of their bus trips. Frank loved his Polka dancing family. As Frank neared the end of his life and needed more assistance, he was very appreciative and thankful to his daughter and the staff at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living. Frank loved his family.

Survivors include his daughter Denise (Tom Leonhard) Mecha; three sons Todd (Mary Juul) Wiltman, Jeff (Tammi Brey) Wiltman and Greg (Sara) Wiltman; eight grandchildren Brad (Angela) Mecha, Tyler (Ashley) Mecha, Kole (Courtney) Wiltman, Kylie (Zachary) Seefeldt, Ashley (Eli) Brandenburg, Ericka Ijeomah, Maxwell Wiltman and Jessica Wiltman; ten great-grandchildren Leo, Emory Clayton, Brystal, Keegan, Nash, Jameson, Lennon, Alex and Jayce.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters Dorothy and Esther; son-in-law Leon “Mike” Mecha.

Per Frank’s wishes, there will only be a private family funeral service, and he will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc, WI.

We can’t express our thanks and gratitude enough to the wonderful, caring staff at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living in Denmark who made Dad feel at home and Dad’s Aurora BayCare Oncologist, Dr. Nirav Patel and Nurse Lisa, who were always wonderful with dad. Also, Thank you to AseraCare Hospice for all your assistance.
