Franklin William Brooks, 79, Hollandtown, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Renaissance in De Pere. He was born March 30, 1933 in the Town of Holland, WI, son of the late Henry and Mae (Brochtrup) Brooks. He graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1951. Franklin married Janelle Hagerty on August 11, 1978; she preceded him in death on July 18, 1998. He was employed at Badger Northland in Kaukauna for 42 years, retiring in February of 1994. He enjoyed his electronics, gardening, square dancing, Smuckers Jam, and spending time with the neighborhood kids. Franklin will be deeply missed by brothers and sisters: Adrian Brooks, Askeaton; Rose Ann (Fred) Ponschock, Appleton; Henry L. Brooks, Askeaton; Fr. Charlie Brooks, Appleton; Janet (Jake) Huber, Kewaunee; Betty (Marv) Rademacher, Wrightstown; Roger “Duke” (Alice) Brooks, Hollandtown; one sister-in-law, Judie Brooks, Combined Locks; one brother-in-law, John (Shirley) Kemkes Sr., Appleton; god-daughter Joan; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews the Hagerty family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers and sisters: John “Wilmer” (Helen) Brooks, Mary (Paul) Skell, Joe (Betty) Brooks, Sister Mary Henry Brooks, Theresa Kemkes, Richard Brooks, Virginia “Jeanie” Brooks, and Jacob Brooks; and a nephew, Rick Skell. Family and friends may call Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church-St. Francis Site, 433 County Road CE, Hollandtown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at church, with Fr. Jerry Pastors Fr. Charlie Brooks concelebrating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Askeaton.
