Gregory T. O'Brick

Gregory T. O’Brick, 58, Brothertown, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011. He was born July 22, 1953, son of the late James and Lucille (Giese) Brick. He grew up on the family farm in Greenleaf, and graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1971. Greg served in the U.S. Air Force from June 1972 to July 1998, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He married Barbara Jean Rost on December 9, 1978 in Green Bay. She passed away March 16, 1999. He was always “busy doing nothing” with his many projects, including working around the O’Brick cottage, travelling around the world, and counseling friends and family with his gift of gab. Greg spent the majority of his time raising his four children: Elizabeth O’Brick, Venice, CA; Amellia O’Brick, Sydney, Australia; SSG Emerson O’Brick, U.S. Army, Fort Brag, NC; and Whitten O’Brick, Brothertown, WI. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Kylee, Kayden, and Kruz O’Brick; brothers: Gary (Linda), Rod, Brian, Jim, and Brad (Carolyne) Brick; sisters: Sandy Vande Voort, Martia (Tom) Anderson, Robin (Dan) Bastian, Mary Kay (Dave) Haese, and Lisa Brick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Brick; a sister, Suzette Brick; and a brother-in-law, Le Roy Vande Voort. Relatives and friends may call at St. Clare Parish-St. Patrick site, 7830 St. Pats Church Rd, Askeaton (town of Holland), TODAY, Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the church on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Dennis L. Bergsbaken officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Askeaton, on Tuesday, Nov. 15th, at 10:00 am with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
