Isabelle Sterletske

Isabelle Sterletske, age 94, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024. The daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Wozniak) Sterletske was born at the family farm in Denmark. She attended Langes Corners School, starting at age 4 and graduated in only 8 years. She worked at Steve’s Cheese from the 1940s-1970s. She also owned and operated, with her sister Marie, the Langes Corners Grocery Store for 73 years, and enjoyed all her customers. Isabelle had a passion for baking, and was well known for her rhubarb pies and Christmas cookies. She was a faithful member of Prince of Peace Parish (formerly Holy Trinity Catholic Church).

Survivors include her cherished nephews and nieces, special Godson Chuck Sterletske and special cousins: Dennis Rozmarynowski, Ron Rozmarynowski and Dory Watzka; special neighbors: Deanna Tilot, Rebecca and Scott Gehrke, Mike and Jennifer Sipple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Katherine; infant brother Laurence, siblings: Marie Sterletske, Alice Sterletske, Theodore (Mary) Sterletske and Raymond (Oramae) Sterletske.

Family and friends may visit at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, Bellevue, on Saturday, July 27, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Pine Grove.
