Jane A. Rueckl, 61, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Jane was born on October 16, 1950 to Donald and Beatrice (Ropson) Rueckl. There is no greater honor to any human being than to be considered a true inspiration of courage and strength to everyone whose lives they touch. That is a statement which truly epitomizes Jane. Her life has touched and impacted so many in so many different ways. From the classmates throughout her education years to fellow employees during here working career to those who touched her life during her time under hospice care. The family is overwhelmed with stories of ordinary and extraordinary (the late Dr. Tom Geocaris, Dr. Marc Anderson and Dr. David LeMoine) people whose lives were influenced so positively by simply knowing her. Survivors include the love of her life, Mike Kocha; father, Don Rueckl; sisters, Barbara Rueckl; Ann (Tom) Conway; Amy (Scot) Madson; brother, Todd (Mary) Rueckl; nieces and nephews, Colleen (Tim) Gumm, Camille (Marshall Ogren) Conway, PJ (Carrie) Madson, Adam (Carrie) Madson, Maggie (Chris) Boland, Leslie (Luke Kabat) Madson, Karli Rueckl; great nieces and nephews; Aunt Bernice Libal and godfather, Joseph Queoff. Jane’s extended family, Mary Kocha, Kathy Brotski, Bill and Bob Kocha; special friends, Larry Woulf, Caroline Colby, many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice; sister, Jennifer; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ella Ropson; paternal grandparents, George and Alice Rueckl, Sr.; godmother, Berdine Queoff; aunts and uncles, Maurice Libal, George Rueckl, Jr. and Mildred Rueckl Dhuey; Milton and Pearl Rueckl. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Sunday, September 30, 2012 after 11:00 AM. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 2:00 PM, lead by Jane’s cousin, Deacon Don Ropson. Visitation will continue for Jane on Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1412 Main St., Luxemburg from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
