Jean Claire (Hochgreve) Eggert

Jean C. Eggert, 87, Allouez, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 4, 1929 to the late August and Florence (McGorman) Hochgreve. Jean married Hollis Eggert on November 3, 1951 at Grace Lutheran Church. She worked for many years at the Green Bay Press Gazette and was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church. Jean loved to spend time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Kristin Eggert Leedom (Chris), Saginaw, MI, and their daughters, Lindsey and Jenna Kitler (Matt); son, Jay Eggert (Amy), Green Bay, and their sons, Joey and Jake; brother-in-law, Rodney Eggert (Bonnie) and their children, Tina Eggert, and Andy Eggert; brother-in-law, Darrell Eggert (Sharon) and their children, Tom Eggert (Beth), Jenny Eggert Anderson (Jeff), and Libby Eggert Caradonna (Jim). In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis, and a sister-in-law, Donna Eggert Carney Schlesky. Family and friends may visit at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S. Madison St., Green Bay on Saturday, March 18, 2017 after 10:30am with a memorial service to follow at 11:30am at the church with Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Jean will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
