John E. Carter

September 14, 1941 — June 6, 2023

John Earl Carter, 81, of Manitowac, formerly of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023. John was born in Arkansas on September 14, 1941, one of four boys born to the late Charles and Dorothy (Frost) Carter.

John worked for many years at Aspiro, a job he truly appreciated. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers and showed his unwavering team spirit by always donning a Packers baseball hat. He was fond of bowling outings, especially when he was able to go with his brother, Fred.

Early in life, John found his faith in God by attending church with his family. His mother’s Christian devotion was an inspiring example which he lived by. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ in Green Bay where he had many adoring friends.

John is survived by his brothers: Charles (Kathy) Carter of Calimesa, CA and Fred Carter of Green Bay; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Carter and his brother, William “Bill” Carter.
