Kathleen A. (Kane) Heyroth

July 5, 1937 — August 13, 2024

De Pere

My mother, Kathleen, the daughter of Raymond and Coral Kane was the brightest of lights. She took great pride in always looking her best with her hair always done just right, the long colorful nails, fancy clothes and glamorous bling. Her big bright Irish smile, outgoing personality and knack for a good joke or a kind word was sure to spread a smile, some laughter or a little joy.

As Director of the Prestige Club, she found her calling to entertain and travel. Mom’s favorite trip? Ireland of course!

Up for a show? Many a busload of theatre enthusiasts made their way to the Fireside in Fort Atkinson where her name is on the Wall of Fame. A cocktail or two helped to ensure everyone had an enjoyable time.

Oh boy, could she throw a party! Remember the incredible parties at the Heyroth residence at 105 West Mission Road?

Cards anyone? Bridge leagues and marathons dominated the social calendar but she could be easily persuaded to play Sheepshead or Old Maid.

It wouldn't be a proper meeting without an Irish Blessing or Prayer to open the Women’s Club gatherings. Did you know she was a founding member? Recall when she dressed up as a nun for Sister Act or Nunsense!

She loved her family unconditionally. Above anything else and all others, including those cats Baxter and Mugsy, she loved her one and only grandson, Jack. We deeply miss Nanna and envision her taking charge of the entertainment and travel activities in heaven with her husband, Dave (Beepa), in tow. We are so incredibly blessed and so very thankful for all the love and support of her family and many, many, many friends.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 9 – 10:45 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr, Green Bay. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am with Rev. Tom Reynebeau officiating. Kathleen will be laid to rest in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral & Cremation Care is assisting the family.

Please honor mom’s Irish heritage by wearing something green and bring a memory or story to share. She would love that.

In lieu of flowers please donate in memory of Kathleen to the Brown County Community Women’s Club.

Take a bow, Mom and enjoy the standing ovation.
