Keith Joseph Schlies

Keith Joseph Schlies, 60, Denmark, passed away on Monday October 24th, 2022. He was born in Green Bay on February 26, 1962, to Kenneth and Pearl (Pelnar) Schlies. Keith attended Preble High School. He worked for years over the road as a truck driver, which is probably how he developed his love for traveling, meeting new people and making friends throughout his travels. He spent the majority of his career working side by side with his Dad and brother at the Family owned business, Schleis Tire and Auto, in Bellevue. Keith was an extremely hard worker but enjoyed visiting and telling stories with the many customers at the shop the most.

Keith loved music, enjoying a beer with friends and dancing. He loved traveling to Nascar races, especially attending races with his son Joey. He also enjoyed the many cruises he took, always meeting new friends along the way. Keith had the biggest most giving heart, he was always willing to help anyone out. Family was everything to Keith, especially gathering with all of his family at our annual Methunke Fest. This is a tradition we will carry on in your memory. Jamee will cherish and continue to protect your Methunke pans. We will be sure to always burn a pan just for you.

Anyone who knew Keith, knows that he loved “All things Denmark”: The Main Street Market, Earl’s Meat store, Double Down Saloon, Suster’s, Beverly Gardens, DeGrands, Lickety Splits, and many more.

Keith will be waiting at Heaven’s gate; to ask you “What Cha Got!”

Keith is survived by his son Joey Schlies and his Step-son John Evernham. He is further survived by his parents, Kenneth and Pearl (Pelnar) Schlies, his sister Bonnie (Lee) Spencer; his brothers Kevin (Michelle) Schlies and Danny Schlies and special friend Martha. In addition, he is survived by his Uncle Larry (Diane) Schlies; his nieces and nephews: Shelly (Jeff) Schott, BJ (Amber) LeRoy, Jamee Schleis, Amber Schlies and Trevor Schlies.

Keith was proceeded in death by his Grandparents Joseph and Mabel (Cherney) Schlies, Lewis and Lillian (Robinson) Pelnar; also by his nephew Tony Spencer; his Uncle Earl Pelnar; by his “Best Friend” Dean Schultz and by Carol (Evernham) Bowman.

Please join us for a “Celebration of Keith’s Life”, on Saturday, November 12th, from 1:00-5:00PM, at Double Down Saloon, 110 E. Main Street, Denmark, WI.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in Keith’s name.
