Kim E. Anderson

Kim E. Anderson, age 64, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024. Born January 14, 1960, Kim was the cherished daughter of the late Jerome G. Anderson and Corinne L. Anderson.

Kim is survived by her devoted brothers Mark (Carol) Anderson and Scott (Laura) Anderson, and her adoring nephews Brendan, Samuel, and Philip Anderson, and niece Caroline Anderson.

Kim's life was marked by significant achievements. She graduated valedictorian from De Pere High School (1978) and went on to earn both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (1982) and a Master of Business Administration degree (1984) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She enjoyed a distinguished career in the commercial real estate and fixed income divisions of the investment department at Principal Financial Group located in Des Moines, Iowa, where Kim was a longtime resident.

In addition to being a loving caregiver to her mother, Kim was a devoted aunt to her nephews and niece. For the holiday season, she worked tirelessly to beautifully decorate the family home in Green Bay and create skits and costumes for the kids’ annual Christmas Eve variety show. For Halloween, she would send each of them a curated goody bag. She specially recognized and celebrated all their milestone accomplishments. 

Kim possessed an inquisitive mind and found great joy in tackling puzzles and British murder mysteries. Her creative side was evident in her joy of gardening and interior design. A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, Kim also enjoyed downhill skiing and golfing and took great pride in researching her family's genealogy. Her infectious laugh and warm spirit endeared her to all who knew her, and her steadfast loyalty and love were gifts beyond measure.

The funeral will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 S Webster Ave, Green Bay, where Kim was a member. Services will be held on August 9, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at noon until the time of service. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed on the Faith Lutheran website at www.flcgb.com. Entombment will take place at Allouez Mausoleum immediately following the funeral.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care and support provided to Kim by the doctors and nursing staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, as well as by family and friends in the Des Moines and Green Bay areas. Memorials in Kim's memory may be made to Aurora Cancer Research Fund (#2397), Faith Lutheran Church of Green Bay, or PBS. 

Kim will be remembered for her kindness, infectious laughter, and her love that she shared with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
