Leroy J. Salzsieder

LeRoy J. Salzsieder, age 88, Denmark, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home. The son of the late Albert and Louisa (Gruetzmacher) Salzsieder was born August 20, 1925 in the town of Montpelier. He married Verna Schultz on October 11, 1950, and together they shared 63 years of marriage. He worked at Lake to Lake and was also a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Verna, children: David (Marie) Salzsieder, Dale Salzsieder, Lloyd Salzsieder, Ken Salzsieder, Bonnie (Dave) DeTemple; grandchildren: Vicky (Nathan) VandenBranden, Stacy Salzsieder and Scott Salzsieder, James DeTemple; siblings: Elmer Salzsieder and Gloria Kuchenbecker; in-laws: Jeanette Schultz, Lester Schultz, Dorothy Salzsieder, Nathalie Salzsieder as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters: Lester, Ornie, Cora (Otto Sr.) Mueller, Elda (Eddie) Bauman, Clarence, Alfred, Edgar, Elroy and an infant sister; in-laws: Rita Salzsieder, Art Kuchenbecker, Vi Schultz, and Harold Schultz. Family and friends may visit at Christ Lutheran Church, Denmark, on Tuesday, November 19, from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am, with Pastor James Saatkamp officiating.
