Lorraine Langer was called to her heavenly home on June 8, 2013 due to a stroke. Daughter of the late Ben and Mary Lodel (Pribek), Lorraine was born May 29, 1923 in Norman, Wisconsin. She married her husband, Edward Langer, on May 22, 1946, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Norman. She was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the many memories created with family and friends at their cottage in Sand Bay. Lorraine thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and board games ~ especially with her grandchildren. Her love of being an avid bridge player created many lasting friendships, which she cherished. Survivors include her seven children; JOHN (Vicki) Langer, Lake Tomahawk; JERRY (Lori) Langer, Sturgeon Bay; MARK Langer (special friend, Sharon), Santa Cruz, Calif.; MIKE (Kris) Langer, Suamico; MARY (John) Escoto-Rolefson, Green Bay; TOM (Joan) Langer, Fort Collins, Colo.; DIANE (Brian) Gustin, Suamico; grandchildren Yanina, Jessica (Kevin), Heather (Andrew), Evan, Brendan, Meghan, Dana (Benjamin), Eric (Kelly), Melody, Matthew (Shauna), Krista, Kali, Kelsey, Katie, Joahn, Drew, Natalee; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Mason, Mylah, Brielle; sister Joyce Novachek brothers-in-law, Otto Engelbrecht, Norbert Langer and Paul (Ruth) Langer; sister-in-law, Laurene Peterson; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband and an infant daughter; her parents, parents-in-law, Edward and Rose Langer; sisters, Rosemary (Don) Meyer and Betty Engelbrecht; brothers-in-law, Bill Novachek, and Chuck Peterson; sisters-in-law, Patricia Langer, Dorothy (Edward) Connelly, and Vivian Langer. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, June 10, 2013 (TODAY), from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, where there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, with Fr. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
