Lucile H. (Wanek) Krebsbach

Lucile H. (Wanek) Krebsbach, 79, resident of the Village of Allouez, died Monday, September 29, 2014. She was born on December 7, 1934, in the Town of New Denmark, WI, to the late William B. and Mayme (Malach) Wanek. Lucile married Donald C. Krebsbach at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, New Denmark, WI, on September 28, 1957. Following graduation from Denmark High School, Lucile attended Badger-Green Bay Business College while employed at the Moore Moore Insurance Agency. She was then employed by the Underwriters’ Adjusting Co. followed by employment as a secretary-stenographer in the Brown County Probate Court. Following that Lucile was employed at the Brown County Employees Credit Union becoming its Manager. Lucile’s retirement was spent enjoying her grandchildren, playing bridge, reading, cross-country skiing, golfing and doing lots of walking all squeezed in between volunteer work mainly at the Neville Public Museum Gift Shop, St. Matthew Catholic Parish, St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, donating blood at the Red Cross, ushering at the Weidner Center, working at the Allouez elections, and sewing quilts for missions operated by the Salvatorian Fathers of New Holstein. Survivors include Lucile’s husband, Donald; two sons, Alan (Lori) Krebsbach, Glen Ellyn, IL; Neil Krebsbach, Oregon, WI; one daughter, Diane Krebsbach, Rochester, MN; grandsons: Spencer Krebsbach, Oregon, WI; Kurt and Kyle Krebsbach, Glen Ellyn, IL; two sisters, Elaine Buchholz, Mary Clare Janz; brothers-in-law, Joseph Krebsbach, Thomas Krebsbach; sisters-in-law, Verna Eggebeen, Vivian (Al) Miller, Eloise (Bill) Barbieur. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Mayme Wanek; Don’s parents, Thomas and Margaret Krebsbach; brothers-in-law, Marvin Buchholz, John Janz, Gordon Abler, Roland Eggebeen, Joseph Kubish; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Kubish, Juanita Krebsbach. Family and friends may visit Friday, October 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Allouez, with Fr. Philip Din-Van-Thiep officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established for the Cerebral Palsy Center of Green Bay. Special thanks to the staff at Unity Hospice and St. Vincent Hospital.
