Marilynn L. (Van Drisse) Brunette, 71, Allouez, passed on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born February 12, 1939 in Green Bay to the late Edward and Phoebe (De Lain) Van Drisse. Marilynn graduated from St. Joseph Academy with the class of 1957. She attended Rosary College in Chicago. In 1961, Marilynn married James R. Brunette. Marilynn selflessly devoted her life to her seven children and grandchildren and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be sorrowfully missed. Marilynn enjoyed playing golf, tennis, reading, volunteering, watching the Packers, and playing bridge. She is survived by her children: James (Mary Ann) Brunette, Green Bay; Ann (William) Roskams, Green Bay; Sandra (Anthony) DiCarlo, Norfolk, VA; Carolynn Brunette, Washington D.C.; Barbara (Randall) Brunette-Smith, Madison; Marilynn “Mimi” (Michael) Drake, Leesburg, VA; Cynthia (Farzad) Diba, Milwaukee; 8 grandchildren: Joseph and Kathryn Amaya; Michael, Alexander, Danielle, and Anthony Brunette; and Emily and Edie Drake; 2 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Akira Brunette; sisters and brother: Carol Burgess, Joanne Lynn, Roger (Marge) Van Drisse, and Sandra Sinclare. Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law: Tom Burgess, Tom Lynn, and Ross Sinclare. Family and friends may call Friday, March 19, 2010 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere from 4p.m. until 7p.m. with a parish prayer service at 6:30p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay from 9:30a.m. until 10:45a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at the church at 11:00a.m. with Rev.
