Mary Ellen Kuehne

Mary Ellen Kuehne, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2023, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born October 25, 1941 in Oshkosh, WI as the only child of the late Walter and Marguerite Hebblewhite.

Mary Ellen graduated from Marquette University with a degree in dental hygiene. She enjoyed a short career as a dental hygienist before becoming a full-time homemaker, supporting her husband and three children. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, reading, practicing yoga, boating the Great Lakes, her many dogs, and loved spending winters in both Park City, Utah and Naples, Florida in her later years.

Mary Ellen was involved in several charitable organizations throughout the years including: Brown County Woman’s Legal Auxiliary, Service League of Green Bay, CP Center, Green Bay Literacy and PEO Chapter AV.

Mary Ellen will be dearly missed by her loving husband Carl Kuehne; their three children, Kim (Larry Follett) Kuehne, Sarah (Steve) Abts and Scott (Carrie O’Malley) Kuehne; her five grandchildren, Kerry (Nicholas), Braeden, Ashley, Jason and Carson; great grandchild, Wesley and many close friends.

At Mary Ellen’s request, a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Unity Hospice or the Brown County Humane Society.
