Mary A. Jones: A Life Well-Lived, Full of Love, Laughter, and Long Walks

Mary A. Jones, age 84, of Green Bay, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Angel's Touch Assisted Living and Memory Care in De Pere, WI., after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born June 28, 1940, in Superior, WI, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Coad and Mary (McNamara) LeSage. She married Roy Jones on December 2, 1967. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and 57 years of wonderful adventures. Over the years they lived in several places including Menomonie WI, Cottage Grove MN, Green Bay, WI. and Duluth MN., before setting up permanent residence in Green Bay in 1977. In 1986 they bought a condominium on the ocean in San Diego, CA. where they lived for up to six months annually enjoying the ocean environment and sunlight.

Mary was the heart of her family—a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was warm, funny, and full of spirit. Mary's unpredictable humor always brought laughter. She easily made friends wherever she went, from the YMCA to the grocery store. Her magnetic personality, sharp wit, and knack for making everyone feel special left an impression.

She was a woman on the move—as Mary enjoyed walking, long bike rides and sunbathing by the pool while meeting new friends. She helped others by volunteering at The Golden House in Green Bay, WI. supporting women in need and offering kindness, encouragement, and strength to those facing challenging times. Her compassion and unwavering belief in others made a difference in countless lives.

Mary is survived by her husband, Roy, and their three children: Brian, married to Tammy, with their children, Sarah, and Christopher; Michael, married to Debbie, with their children, Ryan, and Lauren; and Trevor, in partnership with Jeff Watters, with their son, Ethan. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Joyce and Jean LeSage, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She now joins her parents and her brothers, Al, and Thomas LeSage, where, no doubt, she walks with the angels and keeps them entertained.

A Celebration-of-Life ceremony will be held on June 7th at the Northland Hotel (Marriott), located at 304 N Adams Street in downtown Green Bay, from 1:45 pm to 3:30 pm.
