Patricia Linsmeyer

October 19, 1926 — October 19, 2013

Patricia “Pat” Linsmeyer , 87, Allouez, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 19, 2013, with her children by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born on October 19, 1926 in Wrightstown to the late Arthur and Charlotte (Cavil) Knuth. Pat attended West High School and then moved to Denmark, where she graduated from Denmark High School in the class of 1945. On August 19, 1953, Pat married Richard at Resurrection United Lutheran Church in Green Bay. For many years, Pat was the secretary for the manager of the advertising department at Northern Paper Mills. Shortly before her children were born she retired to become a full time homemaker and assist Richard with his accounting business. Pat was at her happiest spending time with her family, especially at Lake Archibald, watching her grandsons play sports, and the treasured times with friends playing bridge and golf. She also cherished time with her dog, Sam. Survivors include her children, Jessica (Eric) Berg, De Pere; Jeff Linsmeyer, De Pere; two grandsons, Bennett and Diedric Berg; two brothers, Carlton “Butch” (Mary) Knuth, De Pere; Rockne (Dorthy) Knuth, Fort Wayne, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; three brother-in-laws; eight sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Julie Wrubble - Lange officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Bayer and Nicole Spaeth at GB Oncology, Unity Hospice, and all of the special people who called, visited, brought over food or offered any type of support to Pat and the family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. If all of us could be as fortunate to live 87 years with as much love, friendship and fun as our Mom, then we will, too, have lived a very full and blessed life. We love you Mom/Nana and you will forever be in our hearts.
