Pat was born on September 4, 1946, to Oliver and Margaret (Slye) Bushman. She attended Annunciation School, St. Jude School and Green Bay West High School. Pat married the “Love of her Life” Norbert Schaetz on August 6, 1966. Pat and Norb farmed the “Best Years of our Lives” in the town to Glenmore from 1971-1988. Pat worked various jobs at Fort Howard, the Denmark Press, the Denmark State Bank, and the YMCA. She loved family celebrations, especially with the grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed special friends Ronnie and Delores, Bob and JoAnn, and Bob and Chris. She often got together with her siblings Jean, Chris and Tom. She enjoyed playing cards, riding her bike, and even enjoyed shoveling snow. For the past 18 years, she shared her life with special friend Pete Wiltzius. Pat and Pete enjoyed youth sporting events, as well as going to professional sporting events. She especially enjoyed playing cards with Pete’s family.
Pat is survived by her son Jeff and his wife Cheryl, daughter Julie and her husband, Leon Kane, and her son Jesse and his wife, Sara. She is further survived by six grandchildren: Sammy Jo (Ryan), Ben, Jake, Dylan, Ava and Mason and two great grandchildren, Henry and Vaeda. Pat lived a full life and was always happy. Now she is with Nobby again.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark from 3:00pm until 6:00pm, with a prayer service to be held at 6:00pm. Private entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials in Pat's name can be made to The Curran Spirituality Center, Inc., C/O William O'Brien, E490 County Road Kb, Denmark, WI 54208-9332.
