Robert E. Buechler, 77, Wrightstown, entered into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012, following a courageous journey with cancer. He was born September 1, 1935 to Walter and Rosella (Frank) Buechler. Bob graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1953 and attended St. Norbert College. He served his country in the U.S. Army from February, 1958 to February, 1960. He worked at East River Lumber Company and later joined Valley Cabinet, where he worked for over 40 years before retiring. Bob married Judy Reedy, June 15, 1961 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown, and together were members all their lives. Bob was very involved in the community all his life- volunteering, mentoring and was involved with numerous church organizations and charities. His hobbies included: woodworking, polka dancing, visiting with his friends at McDonalds and Ron’s Barber Shop, moped riding, spending time with family and solving crossword puzzles. He found joy in his children and grandchildren, and had a sense of humor that endured to his last days. Bob truly had a gift for making people smile. Survivors include his seven children: Annette (John) Baeb, Lynne Buechler, Paul (Cheryl) Buechler, Michele (Vern) Longsine, Greg (special friend Barb Van Haren) Buechler, Nicole (Ron) Senecal, and Melanie (Dan) Brick; eleven grandchildren: Ryan (Katie) and Nick (Kayla) Rosenbaum, Adam and Jeff Rotzenberg, Carson and Drake Buechler, Christopher and Sierra Hewitt, and Sawyer, Ian and Elijah Brick; great-grandchild, Landon Rosenbaum, sisters and brothers-in-law: Conrad (Carolyn) Reedy, Jean (Eugene) DeGroot, Pat (Bob) Behrens, Carol (Bill) Fritsch, Margie (Lenny) VanDerWegen, Rosemary Reedy, Cathy (Jerry) Vogels, and Carl Newhouse. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rosella; his wife, Judith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John (Marie) Reedy, sisters: Betty Ann, Rose Marie and Dorothy Newhouse; and special friend Ron Van Groll. Family and friends may call at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main Street, Wrightstown, on Sunday, December 16, from 3-8pm. A parish prayer service will conclude the visitation Sunday evening at 8pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 17, from 9-10:15am at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Monday, at the church, with Fr. Carl Meulemans officiating and Msgr. John H. Schuh, Fr. Al Geiser and Fr. Charlie Brooks concelebrating.
