Bonduel

Steven Jerome Vincent - passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2024 in Bonduel, at the age of 60.

Steve is survived by his wife, Bonnie, her children Jaime (David) Harris of Hayward, Russell Aude (Caitlin Maloney) of Pulaski and Sadie Aude (Joe Pace) of Green Bay and grandchildren Savannah, Ryker, Cameron, Macie, Emmy and Eva. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Vincent, siblings Michael (Betsy) Vincent of Oconto, Jeff (Debra) Vincent of Arizona, and Jennifer Vincent (Leslie Chase) of De Pere, as well as his niece Meghan of Arizona. He is also survived by his mother in law, Nancy Wendt as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his son; Hunter Michael-Jerome Vincent; his father, Ken Vincent; grandparents Jerome and Marion (Bertrand) Kane, Stanley and Lucille Vincent, Lillian Bauer Kane, and Michael Feher; uncles John Vincent, Jim Kane, and Pat Van Dreel; aunt Inger Kane; and father-in-law Jerry Wendt.

Steve was born January 8,1964 to Kenneth and Mary Claire (Kane) Vincent. Steve attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from West De Pere High School in 1982. After graduation Steve entered the printing business and worked for the City of Green Bay in their print shop. After a few years, he made the leap and opened his very own printing shop, Bayside Printing, with his dad, Ken. Ken was not only his partner, but his biggest supporter and taught him the value of hard work, which Steve carried with him throughout his entire life.

On June 8th, 2000 Steve was blessed with the birth of his son, Hunter. Steve was able to share the love of the outdoors with him even at a young age. From hunting on their land or trips to Camp along with countless fishing trips, they created priceless memories as father and son. Unexpectedly, Hunter passed away on March 24, 2009. Even out of this tragedy, Steve’s heart went out to others. He turned his heartbreak into good by starting the Hunter Vincent Kid’s Fishing Jamboree. This event combined fishing – a love he shared with Hunter – with music and family. The annual event encouraged kids and families to experience the excitement of fishing while also raising money to assist families affected by serious medical conditions. The non-profit continues under the name Hunter’s New Beginnings, with a focus on mental health.

Steve had a love for competitive shooting, which was greatly influenced by his Grandpa Mike, a gunsmith and member of the DePere Sportsmans Club. Steve joined the youth rifle team and was the youngest to ever achieve the Distinguished Expert Rank. It was that love, along with his innate sense to help others, that led him to be involved in the Learn to Hunt Program. He also instilled gun safety in all his grandchildren.

Steve had a passion for his three gardens where he poured heart and blessings into the soil. He felt the most grounded and at peace, as well as the most joyful and exuberant when he was tending to his plants. His gardens were always plentiful, and he shared an abundance of their goodness with others.

On October 10th, 2015, Steve married his earth angel, Bonnie Wendt, on the hill overlooking their land and home in Bonduel, WI. Together they continued their passion for studying energy and how sound frequencies can be used to break up negative emotions within the body to create a healthier, happier self. Rediscover Yourself was then born. Steve was given a gift from God, and he was so excited to be able to help people and share his gift. When he made a person's dark day brighter, it warmed his heart. He didn’t hesitate to say “I can help you” if you were in need. He was gentle, kind, intuitive and truly the best listener.

Steve, best known as Papa to his grandchildren, cherished the time he was able to spend with them – always greeting each with his big smile and an even bigger hug. On the family’s annual summer vacations, he was Captain to countless tube rides around the lakes and Chef to amazing meals he served up from the gifts of his garden. Steve’s warm, authentic personality bubbled over. His beaming smile and positive energy drew people in, and even those meeting him for the first time felt welcome and invited into his orbit. He had a knack for relationships, and by example, reminded people to choose words wisely, be kind, forgive others, and live by the adage of treating people the way you want to be treated.

In his final days, Steve looked forward to giving his son, Hunter, a big hug in Heaven. We are comforted in knowing He, Hunter, and Ken are surely casting their lines and loving being together again.

A celebration of life in Steve’s honor will be announced and held on a yet to be determined date
