Susan C. Walter, 61, De Pere, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010, at a local hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born April 15, 1949 in Boise, ID, daughter to the late Frank Coburn and Virginia Pursley. She graduated from Palo Verde High School, Tucson, AZ, and attended Nursing School in Upper Heyford, England, where she met her future husband, Bruce R. Walter, who was a serviceman in the United States Air Force. She had a career outside the home as a CNA, but most her life was spent providing a loving and comfortable home for her family. Susan was a very good artist, and she enjoyed crocheting, watching sports, going tubing in Arizona, four-wheeling, and Halloween so she could dress like a witch. Susan also liked to play cards with her friends at Nicolet Terrace. She was a very patriotic and religious woman who had a lot of faith. Her family was her life, and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite times was Easter, where she would decorate Easter eggs with the grandchildren. She loved going out to eat and to the movies with her daughter. She will be deeply missed by her two children, Bruce M. Walter, De Pere, and Tracey (Tom) Berceau, De Pere; two grandchildren: Josh and Jaclyn; two brothers, Jimmie Coburn, North Carolina, and Russell (Kristina) Coburn, Idaho; and other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., Green Bay. Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at church, with Rev. David Hatch officiating. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. Full obituary will appear in Wednesday’s edition. The family extends a special thank you to the 1st floor nursing staff and doctors and staff in the Pulmonology Department at Aurora BayCare, as well as her good friends at Nicolet Terrace for their heartfelt friendship
