Cotter Funeral Homes & Crematory offers your family a peaceful, respectful, and personalized experience, whatever option you choose.

Our family-owned crematorium in De Pere is unique to Northeast Wisconsin, and our state-of-the-art facility includes a comfortable visitation room, so you have the option to view the cremation, if you wish. Rely on us for respectable cremations in De Pere, WI.

What Are the Options?

Each of our cremation options can be modified to fit your family’s needs.

  • Traditional visitation and cremation. If a traditional visitation or memorial is desired, the body of the deceased is placed in a specially-selected cremation casket or a rental casket, and the memorial/visitation, with the body present, can take place prior to the cremation. After cremation, remains are returned to your family or taken to a pre-selected final resting place.
  • Memorial after cremation. A family can host a memorial service—at any time after cremation and at any location—with the urn usually on display.
  • Direct cremation. Sometimes, a family does not want a memorial or visitation. In that case, the deceased is transported to the crematory; the body will be held in a secure, dignified environment for the 48-hour waiting period, mandated by the state. After cremation, remains are returned to the family.
